In an emergency, call 911. Use the numbers below for things that are not emergencies, such as a minor crash where no one is hurt, or questions about a crash report.

Every number and fee on this page comes from an official source, such as a city, county or agency website or a guide the agency published. We checked them in October 2026. Numbers and steps can change, so check the agency's page if something doesn't work. If we could not confirm something in an official source, we left it out.

Sheriff's deputies work crashes in unincorporated areas, outside city limits. In Dallas County, sheriff's deputies also patrol many freeways, including inside city limits, so a deputy may have worked a freeway crash. If a city officer or a state trooper worked your crash, ask that agency instead.
